Chopin Festival

The Chopin Festival in Marianske Lazne is one of the most important Chopin festivals in Europe. A whole week the guests can visit concerts of chamber and symphonic music or participate in the rich cultural and social programme. Every two years a piano competition of young talents is held. Municipal Theatre Marianske Lazne

Worth seeing is the building of the theatre itself – it is a fine example of art nouveau. The program includes dramas, classic music concerts as well as operas and operettas.

Westbohemian Symphonic Orchestra

Marianske Lazne is the traditional seat of the Westbohemian Symphonic Orchestra. The orchestra concentrates not only on symphonic music but also on operas and operettas. In the spa season regular promenade concerts are held for the spa guests of Marianske Lazne. The Westbohemian Symphonic Orchestra cooperates with top musicians and groups from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad. More information is available on www.zso.cz

Municipal Museum Marianske Lazne

The museum is situated in the oldest house of the spa centre - built in in the year 1818. In this house stayed Johann Wolfgang Goethe during one of his visits to Marianske Lazne. The museum features the rooms used by Goethe, equipped with original artefacts. The further offer for visitors includes lectures and exhibition on Marianske Lazne with emphasis on the mineral springs and spa.
